week two: a sink full of flowers

harvest 2

This week’s harvest included red yarrow, lavender, daisies, calendula, fireworks, lilies, hostas, love in a mist, sweetpeas, gooseneck, queen anne’s lace, snap dragons, sage love-in-a-mist, and coneflowers!

This week I was also arranging for a wedding. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of flowers for shareholders and the wedding. Sweet Joan from South Prairie Street Farm helped me out with some extra lush sage, calendula, red yarrow and daisies from her garden. I also went out to Sharp’s Crossing a local U-pick lavender farm. It was a little bit of heaven right here in the Midwest, but that’s for another post!
