Willow Weaving - April 21

Join willow grower and basketmaker Phera Singh for an afternoon workshop in which you will make a small openwork basket that can be hung on a wall and hold garlic, a bundle of dried flowers, or whatever you may find it useful for! We will be using all locally grown and hand harvested willow. This workshop is suitable for beginners but please keep mind mind that hand strength and dexterity is required for working with this material.

Additionally, please bring a locking pocketknife, carving knife or bushcraft knife if you have one.

Location: Delight Flower Farm 1472 County Road 500 E. Champaign

Classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Class will be outdoors if weather allows. If weather is unfavorable it may moved inside.

Instructor Bio

Phera Singh is an amazing basketmaker, each one of them handwoven with domestically grown and wild harvested willows. Fun fact: Phera tends their own willow patch at the farm!
